鹿児島で開催された、第一回鹿児島県人世界大会に併せて、在京の3県人団体共催により2018年10月31日（快晴）に「東京ウエルカムイベント」が開催されました。 南北米大陸をはじめ海外から鹿児島ゆかりの方々110名余が皇居訪問、浅草散策に参加され、霞が関ビル「東海大学校友会館」での歓迎式典では在京の県人350余名が暖かく迎えました。

Hosted by three prefectural associations in Tokyo, the event took place on October 31, 2018 (clear weather). Over 110 participants with ties to Kagoshima from abroad, including North and South America, visited the Imperial Palace and participated in a stroll around Asakusa. At the welcome ceremony held at the Kasumigaseki Building 'Tokai University Alumni Association Hall,' more than 350 prefectural residents in Tokyo warmly welcomed them.
